After pickup4ukraine.org had already been mentioned by Gen. Hodges in his Twitter post as a “grass roots initiative” in early 2023, Michael contacted him again in December last year – actually, to invite him to our event on January 25, 2024 at the Württemberger Gesellschaft. Due to time constraints, Gen. Hodges offered an online interview with us instead. We reserved time for this on January 3, 2024 and were incredibly excited during its preparation. When do civilians have a chance to get the direct personal support of a general? Gen. Hodges is a very quiet, pleasant person who put us immediately at ease from the very start, which gave us a smooth entry into the discussion.
